Can you believe 2017 is almost over?! Seriously this year flew by. I have started to mentally prepare myself for 2018 and have begun brainstorming some of my 2018 goals. I want to be more organized, focused, and motivated in 2018. Here are some great gifts to help you get motivated, set goals, and succeed in 2018. Make sure to add these to your Christmas/birthday list or buy them for the goal setter in your life.
1. Simplified Planner
I write about this planner a lot but really it has helped me stay sane for the past 3 years. I used the daily edition in undergrad and for the past 2 years I have used the weekly edition. I also bought the weekly edition for 2018. Emily and her team just restocked the weekly editions (they sold out within a few days originally) so if you are interested, make sure to order one ASAP. You can click here to check out the planner and the cover options. For a more detailed review of the planner, check out this post.
2. PowerSheets
If you already have a planner (or use only your phone), you need to check out PowerSheets by Lara Casey. PowerSheets are perfect for anyone who is trying to reach their goals in 2018. This goal setting planner will help you figure out your big picture goals, determine action steps to reach those goals, and help you stay accountable each month with monthly tending pages. They also come with a postcard, 2 inspiration quote cards (I frame mine), and access to pages to help you budget, meal prep, etc. PowerSheets are available in one-year dated and 6-month undated workbooks. I have been using the one-year dated because it is $15 more and you get the entire year. I need the accountability for the entire year. (Update: the one-year dated PowerSheets are sold out but they still have the six-month undated workbook available) To learn more about PowerSheets (and to purchase a set for you or a friend) click here. Seriously, you won’t regret buying them.
3. You Are a Badass Book
This book made me feel invincible. It is easy to read, honest, and motivating. A few of my favorite quotes from the book are:
page 21: “Most people are living in an illusion based on someone else’s beliefs”
page 76: “Everything you do along your journey contributes to where you’re going”
page 171: “On the other side of your fear is your freedom”
4.Starbucks Gift Card
While you are up late working on your side hustle or thinking of how to reach your next goal, you obviously need coffee. Starbucks gift cards are easy to give and much appreciated by everyone. You could combine this with one of the books on this list or the mug. You can even buy discounted gift cards (for Starbucks other stores) on raise.com or giftcardgranny.com.
5. Colorful Pens
Everyone needs some colorful pens for writing down their goals right? I use these pens in both my Simplified Planner and my PowerSheets and they don’t bleed through. I use these pens to color code my goals in my PowerSheets and Simplified Planner. You could also buy these pens, some stickers, and a notepad for an easy holiday/birthday gift! Below is the pack I bought which is 24 pens for $20.
6. Make it Happen Book
I have posted about this book many times but it really is one of my favorites. If you have not already read it, I highly recommend reading it. It is by Lara Casey, creator of the PowerSheets. If you are not ready to commit to the PowerSheets but still want help setting 2018 goals, this book is a great place to start. I wrote a full book review about why I love this book. Make it Happen would make a perfect holiday gift for a co-worker, friend, or accountability partner.
7. Sticker Book
I love stickers but I never want to use them! I am going to be better in 2018 at actually using the stickers in my planner, PowerSheets, on notes. This year I bought the sticker book from Cultivate What Matters to pair with my PowerSheets. This sticker book has 20 pages of stickers (over 900 stickers total) and will fit in your planner, journal, notebook, etc. It also has a sticker color coding system you can use with your planner (or PowerSheets) so you can assign certain tasks to a specific goal. For example, if blue is your financial goals you can assign a blue sticker next to save $100 this week. This sticker book is normally $12 but is on sale this week for $8! Click here to check out the sticker book.
8. Goal Digger Mug
While you are working on reaching your goals, you will obviously need some coffee. This mug is perfect for you (or your friend) as a reminder to keep going. You can combine this with the sticker book for a super easy gift for the goal digger in your life.
